The Company was formed in Manchester England in 1983 as an electronics design, development and manufacturing organisation, specialising in microprocessor-controlled systems. Throughout the last 21 years SY Electronics Ltd has had numerous success stories to boast about and is now a well-established company with an excellent future. SY Electronics Ltd. has a strong background in third party development, which has led to the company sharing the benefits, of producing, some of the market-leading products in the automotive industry. However this is by no means the only success of SY Electronics Ltd. In 1993 the company was asked to develop a KVM (Keyboard, Video Mouse) switch for Marks & Spencer PLC, as part of a major I.T. infrastructure project. This was so successful that it has led to the creation of the company’s own KVM switch brand “PC Switch”. A full range of KVM products have since been developed and with the innovation of Cat5 Video extenders, PC Switch has become a recognised manufacturer of KVM products world wide. Providing the intricate control systems, which forms the core part of any such system. SY Electronics Ltd. has helped develope what is a leading brand name within this industry. More recently SY Electronics Ltd. has its own E-commerce site. Using up to date security techniques SY Retail.co.uk was launched in July 2003. This provides a platform from which PC Switch products are sold to trade customers and direct. In 2004 The company received the Export Excellence Award for the best use of e-commerce from UK Trade & investment sponsored by Salford city council.
